Dry Humor:

This type of dry humor is what I grew up with, and one of the types of comedy that I still enjoy the most today - at age 84.

Though sometimes defined in somewhat different manners, this humor has it's roots in the fact that the "humor deliverer" does not show the comedy in his or her expressions, but rather primarily through words.
